前言 化石碎片信息是重建岩相古地理的基础地质资料。 鉴定化石碎片就是从碳酸盐岩薄片中把生物残体的随机切面分门别类地识别出来。常规的鉴定化石碎片的方法可称“象形法”。象形法是一种形象比较法,它将待定化石碎片“特征组合”的形象同鉴定者根据大量的化石碎片在头脑中形成的或在图版中记录下来的不同生物门类固有的“特征组合”的形象进行比较,象者则判为同类,不象者则判为异类。
