化学是一门以实验为基础的科学,《化学工程》课又是高等师范院校化学系开设的唯一的联系生产实际的课程。这门课的内容杂、头绪多、任务重。在十年浩劫中,我们化学工程实验室的固定设备全部遭到破坏,致使在前五届学生中都没有开出化工实验来。这样,本来是一门实践性很强的课变成了“清唱”课。讲完了蒸馏,学生没有见过蒸馏塔;讲了转子流量计,学生认不到转子流量计;讲了吸收,学生没有见过吸收塔。致使个别学生在参观工厂和中学化学教育实习中闹出一些笑话来。在中学化学教育实习中,有学生把透平压缩机理解成透明的压缩机;把冷凝器说成冷却器。前几年,对于“化工”这门课程,领导不重视,在这个组任课的教师不安心,学生学起来无兴趣。
