变质矿床不是一个新的矿床类型,但近来对它有新的认识,从而增加了其重要性.早先受变质反应等化学原则的影响,对变质作用及变质矿床的研究曾一度停滞不前.50年代以后,等化学概念受到了怀疑,认为对于H_2O和CO_2及一些造矿元素,严格说来不是等化学的,因而出现了关于变质水成矿作用的概念.在这一概念指导下,变质成矿作用的研究有了长足的进展,近来,在理论和实际意义方面获得了如下主要认识:(1)自成岩水开始经变质水至超变质水的连续发育、逐步演化的变质成矿溶液形成作用的新概念,扩大了变质成矿作用的研究范围,提出了低温(前绿片岩相)变质成矿作用的新问题,形成了把变质成矿作用看作是一个连续演变过程的新思想,既有高度的科学性,又扩大了成矿预测的思路.

Both highly scientific, but also expanded the idea of mineralization prediction.
