船壳不但是水田作业机耕船的主要部件,同时又为可调节驱动轮入土深度提供了有利条件。实践证明,当机耕船进行水田作业时,为使其滚动阻力控制在最小范围内和机耕船处在最佳技术状态,要求驱动轮入土深度能随所需牵引力的变化而进行调节。这样,机耕船的动力性和经济性都会得到显著的改善。一般说,在同一工况下,如驱动轮入土深度过深,发动机功率多消耗20~40%;入土深度过浅,又将增加机耕船的打滑次数,甚至不能正常作业。
