Using remote sensing to explore the correspondence between land cover types and temperature has new ideas. Based on the TM remote sensing images received from Tokyo, Japan, on October 14, 1998, the relationship between land cover types and temperature distributions was investigated using image processing methods based on actual ground surveys. Taking the representative land cover types in this area as the training area, the first, second, third, fourth and fifth band data of TM image were classified and classified, and good classification results were obtained. The sixth band (10.40 ~ 12.5μm) is the best band to detect the ground temperature distribution. By using the sixth band data, the temperature distribution in this area is obtained through a series of transformations. There is a good correspondence between temperature distribution and land cover types. For example, residential areas and parks with high vegetation coverage in urban areas are generally warmer in daytime than in suburban areas; temperatures in urban areas are lower; (Shinjuku, Ginza, etc.), airports and large factories and other high temperatures.
