4月16日晨,韩国“世越号”(船名为“超越尘世”之意,前译为“岁月号”)轮船载着400多位乘客、29名工作人员、180多辆汽车及另外一千多吨货物翻沉大海,致使死亡和失踪者多达300多人,无数人为之心碎。更让人不能原谅的是,船长和水手甚至没有启用船上先进的救生设备就弃船逃离。本文作者在“世越号”沉没之前,恰好去韩国旅游并乘船渡海,鬼使神差般地用相机拍下了正在港口停泊的最后的“世越号”身影。作者周吉宜虽然身为中国现代文学馆副馆长,又是鲁迅胞弟著名文学理论家周作人的嫡孙,但却是学工科出身,长期从事技术工作的职业习惯,使他观察了自己所乘轮船的技术构造和逃生系统,并拍下照片进行了解读。本刊特发此文,希望能对乘船出行的人有所帮助。
