In order to investigate the effects of different sediments and seeding modes on the behavior of latent sand in Scapharca subcrenata, the subsurface sediments of shellfish (10.0 ± 0.9) mm in length were observed under laboratory conditions. The effects of sediment 251-500μm) and sediment (particle size <120μm), and the effects of dispersal mode (concentration and dispersion) on the sand dune’s sand time and sand content. The results show that the process of submerged sand catfish is divided into preparation, submarine sand and the end of three stages. Under the two substrate conditions, the time of concentrated seeding was shorter than that of dispersive seeding, but the difference of seabuckthorn litter time was not significant (P> 0.05). The litter size of sand ridges was shorter than that of sediment in both sandy and sandy conditions, and the difference of two sediments was significant (P <0.05) under scattered sowing. Under two kinds of sediment conditions, the catfish’s sand-feeding rate showed centralized spreading higher than dispersed spreading. Studies have shown that, compared with the sandy sediment, the catfish is more likely to be rapidly submerged under sandy conditions; and the concentrated sowing is more conducive to the rapid submergence of the catfish than the dispersive dissemination method.
