Development is a complex, dynamic and interactive process, and participatory development emphasizes that the development and development project is a learning process for all participants. Project work meetings and training sessions are intensive learning activities in the development process. Participatory learning methods in China are increasingly used in the training of project staff. After introducing the background, meaning and principle of participatory learning method in training, the background of participatory learning method is expounded. An example of the application of participatory learning method in China participatory rural appraisal training conference is introduced. The last part takes advantage of a sociological framework to discuss some of the challenges faced in the application and localization of participatory learning approaches in China.
