Langerhans first discovered islet tissue in the pancreas in 1869. Normal human pancreas in about 2000000 islets, accounting for 1.5% of the weight of the pancreas. It is known that there are three major types of endocrine cells in the islets: α-cells account for about 20-30%, glucagon secretion; β-cells account for about 60-70% and insulin secretion; and δ-cells account for about 2-8% Secretion of somatostatin and gastrin. Pancreatic endocrine plays a very important role in regulating the metabolism of sugar, fat and protein and maintaining the normal balance of glycometabolism. The composition and location of these three kinds of cells in islets in recent years
