我们认为儿童画的基本要素来自孩子自身。其中最基本的要素则是儿童自身的主动性和创造性。凡是儿童自己主动创作的画都是他认识能力和表现能力发展的一种标志,一个足迹。这样的画从构思到绘画可以纳入一个不断地吸取外界知识、经验,不断地产出和表现的过程。下面所要谈的就是作为儿童吸取外界知识的重要桥梁——观察能力问题。观察是儿童画画的基本功;指导儿童画不能忽视观察能力的培养,反过来儿童画的教育功能之一就是发展儿童的观察能力。
