教师应该如何充分发挥插图的作用呢?笔者在多年教学实践中,发现了插图的诸多妙用。一、巧用插图,创设情境——激发学生学习兴趣情境创设可以增加教学的趣味性,使学生能积极、主动地参与语言训练(龚亚夫,罗少茜,2006)。插图的形象性、情节性和趣味性符合小学生思维发展的特点。巧妙借助插图的情境引入新课,不仅能够唤起学生的好奇心,激发学习兴趣,诱导求知欲望,还能促使学生做好学习新知识的心理和知识准备,从而更好地感知、理解和记忆新知。例如,PEP六年级上册Unit 1 How can I get there?B Let’s learn,本课时主要句型为“Where is the...?It’s next to/near the...”。学生脑海中没有相应的位置概念,单纯操练并不能达到预期的教学效果。因此,笔者把Be a tour guide
