By investigating the role of the left prefrontal cortex in the semantic coding of uncorrelated word pairs, we explore the feasibility of using near-infrared optical imaging in the detection of high-level cognitive brain activity. Under the two experimental conditions, the subjects were asked to learn 20 non-related pairs of visual words respectively, asking them to form a meaningful sentence (deep processing), or to determine whether the two words had the same structural combination Shallow processing). The optical imager instantly recorded the continuous light changes through the frontal cortex and the frontal cortex at 760nm and 850nm diffuse light intensity, suggesting that changes in blood volume corresponding brain tissue. The results showed that, compared with the shallow processing, the lower left prefrontal lobe during deep processing of blood volume increased, especially in the dorsolateral part.
