Lurgi has won a contract to expand Turkey’s Petkim’s high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant. By then, the company’s HDPE production capacity will be expanded from 66kt/a to 96kt/a. The device uses Mitsui Chemicals’ technology and will be completed within 18 months. Lurgi’s service and supply contracts totaled 22 million marks (13.8 million US dollars).
