Giant cell tumor of tendon sheath, also known as “benign synovial tumor of the tendon sheath” and “silver tumor of tendon sheath synovial membrane”, occurs most often on the fingers and occurs rarely in the front of the neck. Our department was admitted to hospital in August 1997 and is reported as follows. The patient, male, 30 years old, was admitted to hospital on August 12, 1997 because he had a painless mass in the front of the neck for one month. The patient inadvertently discovered that the upper left side of the neck was uplifted one month ago and could touch a mass. The growth was slow and there was no pain, hoarseness, difficulty in swallowing and other symptoms. The patient is physically healthy. Physical examination: In general, the level of the hyoid bone at the front of the neck is slightly left, and a round tumor can be touched. The size is about 2cm×1.5cm×1.5cm.
