(二)物理性质 1.密度木材密度因树种不同其差别很大。国产蚬木Burretiodendron hsienmu Chun etHow(气干密度1.13克/厘米~3,下同)~([5])比引种国外的轻木Ochroma lagopus Sw.(0.24)相差近5倍。泡桐属的树种全是国产最轻的木材树种(0.26~0.33)(表7)。密度通常是表明木材物理和强度性质的可靠指标,研究泡桐树种的木材密度,即可对泡桐材的物理和强度性质作出适当评价。
