交通部“十一五”期间,交通部将以科学发展观统领全局,着力办成6件大事:一、完成“五年千亿元”任务,基本实现全国所有具备条件的乡镇、建制村通公路,95％的乡镇和80％的建制村通沥青(水泥)路。二、基本形成国家高速公路网骨架,“五纵七横”国道主干线和西部开发省际公路通道全部建成。到2010年,全国公路总里程达到230万km,全国高速公路通车里程达到6．5万km,二级及以上公路里程达到45万km,县乡公路达到180万km。
During the “11th Five-year Plan” of the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Communications will guide the overall situation with the scientific concept of development and strive to accomplish six major tasks: First, to complete the task of “five-year-billion-billions” and basically realize the fulfillment of all the qualified townships and villages in the country 95% of townships and 80% of villages are bitumen (cement) roads. Second, the basic formation of the national highway network skeleton, “five vertical and seven horizontal” national trunk road and the western development of inter-provincial highway access all completed. By 2010, the total mileage of highways in the country will reach 2.3 million km, the national toll-gate mileage will reach 65,000 km, the mileage of roads at second-level and above will reach 450,000 km, and the county-township roads will reach 1.8 million km.
