目的探讨基质金属蛋白酶1(matrixmetalloproteinase1,MMP1)及其抑制剂金属蛋白酶组织抑制因子1(tissueinhibitorofmetalloproteinase1,TIMP1)和影响两者作用的转化生长因子β1(transforminggrowthfoctorβ1,TGFβ1)在翼状胬肉头部组织中的表达及意义。方法采用免疫组化技术检测MMP1、TIMP1及TGFβ1在翼状胬肉头部(22例)和正常结膜(12例)中的表达。结果MMP1与TGFβ1在翼状胬肉头部组织中的阳性表达率显著高于正常结膜(P<0.01),而TIMP1的表达差异无显著性(P>0.05)。经Spearman等级相关分析可知,翼状胬肉中MMP1与TGFβ1阳性表达间存在正相关(r=0.625,P<0.01);TIMP1与TGFβ1阳性表达间无相关性(r=-0.0512,P>0.05)。结论MMP1,TIMP1及TGFβ1可能积极参与翼状胬肉发生、发展过程中的基质重构与角膜Bowman’s膜的破坏。
Objective To investigate the effects of matrix metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1) and its inhibitor tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP1) on the expression of transforming growth factor β1 (TGFβ1) in the pterygium head tissues Expression and meaning. Methods The expressions of MMP1, TIMP1 and TGFβ1 in the head of pterygium (22 cases) and normal conjunctiva (12 cases) were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The positive expression rate of MMP1 and TGFβ1 in the pterygium head tissue was significantly higher than that of normal conjunctiva (P <0.01), while the expression of TIMP1 was not significantly different (P> 0.05). Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between MMP1 and TGFβ1 expression in pterygium (r = 0.625, P <0.01). There was no correlation between TIMP1 and TGFβ1 expression (r = -0.0512, P> 0.05). Conclusion MMP1, TIMP1 and TGFβ1 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of pterygium. Matrix remodeling and destruction of Bowman ’s membrane may be involved in the process of development.
