2009年1月,中国的汽车销售第一次超过美国。印度的车辆总数正以每年7%至10%的速度增长。亚太地区的低收入国家并未试图通过类似电动汽车的昂贵技术减少温室气体的排放,而是正致力于改善现有的内燃机引擎。
In January 2009, China’s car sales surpassed the United States for the first time. The total number of vehicles in India is growing at 7% to 10% a year. Low-income countries in the Asia Pacific region have not tried to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions through expensive technologies like electric cars. Instead, they are working to improve existing engines.
