Active feedback amplifier topologies, such as the Active Feedback Amplifier topology in the AnaLog Devices ’AD830 and Lintel Technologies’ LTC1193, can be used to create a precision voltage-to-current converter, which in turn can make a grounded capacitor integrator. The design described in this article uses the AD830 (Figure 1a) to provide a bipolar output current at high impedance, with a scale of only 1mA per V for R = 1kΩ. The maximum current is limited to ± 30mA due to the IC’s output current capability The output resistance is determined by the common-mode rejection of the AD830
