12V240Z型柴油机是在无产阶级文化大革命取得伟大胜利的大好形势下,由北京二七机车车辆工厂于1968年11月开始设计试制的。在试制试验过程中,北京二七机车车辆工厂广大职工,在批林整风和批林批孔运动的推动下,在毛主席革命路线指引下,在交通部、北京市委的领导下,在8341支左解放军的支持和帮助下,坚持“抓革命,促生产”,贯彻“鞍钢宪法”,开展“工业学大庆”的群众运动,自力更生,艰苦奋斗,坚持革命干劲与科学态度相结合,勇于实践,不断总结提高,在有关科研单位、厂、段、学校的大力支持和热情帮助下,先后试制了九台12V240Z型柴油机。这次提交鉴定的第九台12V240Z型柴油机,是在认真总结前八台柴油机的试制、试验及装车运用考验的基础上,“精心设计,精心施工”,经过比较全面的修改设计而试制的。这台柴油机于1974年上半年先后完成了性能试验、100小时连续运转和500小时耐久试验。在批林批孔运动普及、深入、持久发展的大好形势下,交通部于1974年9月17日至9月22日在北京二七机车车辆工厂召开了12V240Z型柴油机的技术鉴定会议。会议认为12V240Z型柴油机技术参数的选择、结构及总体布置是合理的;柴油机的性能良好、稳定,主要经济技术指标达到了交通部批准的设计任务书的要求,其中燃油消耗率等指标达到了国外同类机型的先进水平;主要零部件状态良好,结构比较可靠,主要件的磨耗较小;喷油泵、喷油器性能良好、稳定,工作可靠;45GP805增压器匹配性能良好,工作比较可靠;从目前的最高燃烧压力、排气温度和增压参数的情况来看,该柴油机还有一定的潜力;并且生产该型柴油机所必需的设计图纸、技术文件等已基本具备,因此可以定型,进行批量生产。 12V240Z型柴油机的试制成功,是毛主席无产阶级革命路线的伟大胜利,是批林批孔运动的丰硕成果。为了交流经验、互相学习、共同提高,现将该型柴油机的结构、试验等资料汇编成本专辑,以供参考。
