The new technology of explosion treatment of underwater soft soil base jointly researched by Mechanics Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangsu Provincial Hydrogeological Engineering Geological Exploration Company and Lianyungang Port Construction Command has been successfully tested in Lianyungang. Coastal muddy ports in our country often cause landslides due to the construction of silos by throwing stones directly on silt that has not been cleared. In order to solve the technical problem of soft foundation processing, from 1985, three research units including Mechanics Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly formed scientific research groups, and carried out a three-year collaborative research in connection with the construction of Lianyungang Port Project. They use explosion
