随着柴油机的功率和转速不断地提高,对喷油泵的要求也愈加严格。首先要求喷油泵喷出的油量要多,喷油率要高,喷射压力要大;其次要求在喷射终了时,断油要干脆。特别是增压柴油机每循环供油量增加很多,如仍采用非增压柴油机的柱塞设计参数及结构形式,势必增加柴油机的供油延续时间,使燃烧过程延长,后燃增加,直接影响到柴油机的性能指标和经济指标。
