Evaluation of the intensive pond Tong Shishou fish production potential. The juvenile Scylla serrata (1.7-4.3 g) produced by broodstock captured from South Carolina was stocked in 6 0.1 hm 2 saltwater ponds in Waddell Marine Culture Center in April 1986. The stocking densities were 7500, 15000 and 22500 / hm ~ 2, each with two duplicate ponds for comparison. Fish fed 38% protein of trout commercial feed, the average salinity of (28 ± 3) × 10 ~ (-3). In the 18-month study, average daily water exchange rates for ponds with a density of 7500, 15000 and 22 500 / hm 2 were 16.4%, 17.5% and 27.4%, respectively. In the first year (1986), 0.55kw aerator was used for two high-density ponds in the warm season and 0.74kw impeller aerator for all adjacent ponds in the second year (1987). In 146d, one of the highest density pond-farmed fish parasitized Amyloodinium causing all of the fish to die. In 432d, a medium density pond lost about 35% of its fish due to lack of dissolved oxygen. At harvest (September 28, 1987 to October 5, 1987), the average body weights of the three species of fish were 1.3, 1.0 and 1.2 kg, respectively. The catch of the pond with the density of 7500 / hm ~ 2 was 8997.5kg / hm ~ 2 and the average survival rate was 88.7%. The survival rate, average body weight and catch of medium density pond (15000 / hm ~ 2) affected by low dissolved oxygen were 54.7%, 0.9kg and 7251.3kg / hm ~ 2, respectively.
