Chinese artists have a significant feature, that is, the importance of calligraphy and use. Painter calligraphy, in its broadest sense, refers to the calligraphy written by a person with the artist’s identity; more precisely, those paintings that contain certain characteristics of the painting and are related to the author’s painting style and to the specialized calligrapher Calligraphy compared with more decorative means and the freedom to change the style of calligraphy. We often hear the notion that learning Chinese painting should first learn calligraphy means that calligraphy has a direct and important influence on Chinese painting. However, most contemporary Chinese painters have no real urgency to write calligraphy. They emphasize on the theoretical level and have a very “tolerant” attitude towards writing.
