From the 1950s to the early 1960s, it was an emerging stage in the study of rural industrial issues. The reinforcement of this kind of research mainly comes from the study of economic history and social history. In the last two studies, not only new methods have been applied, but also new topics such as population history and family history have been introduced. Especially in the early modern research, the area has become the most popular research hot spot, surpassing the proposed problems and the elaborateness of the methods used. At the same time, discussions on the problems of developing countries are increasingly being held: economic growth, developed and underdeveloped, modernized and backward. In the process, a new understanding of the transformation of industrial capitalism in European metropolises was developed.
