In the decades following the trial of the international tribunal in 1946, the Chinese did not raise the massacre in Nanking again. It was not until the early 1980s that Japan revised the textbook incident and subsequently established the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall. The Chinese academia began to study the history of the Nanjing Massacre. The initial study was solely to counter the Japanese right wing. For 72 years, only 10 films about the Nanjing Massacre have been castrated to varying degrees for various reasons. Wu Zi Niu, director of the Nanjing Massacre 1937, laments: “It is not like the filming has the same weather as the planting, the festivals are not correct and the wishes are different.” “For that period of history, our memory was very simple. Chinese, we only know a figure - 300,000. As for the Japanese soldiers, we only know about massacres and rapes. There is also a German in our memory, John Rabe rescued 200,000 Chinese in a refugee camp organized by Nanjing. In addition we know nothing about it. Two recent Nanjing massacre film ”Nanjing! Nanjing!“ And ”Rabe diary" has released. On that memory, we still need to fix it again
