Foster capacity, not knowledge. This approach, the child grows, the greater the benefit. This may be the most we need to think and learn from it. From 1968 to 2009 I worked in education, teaching and research positions for 41 years. After retirement, the United States lived with her son and daughter and lived in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Alabama in the south for many years. Now that my grandson is in the second grade of elementary school, my granddaughter is also attending a kindergarten. This gives me a chance to observe the “preschool education” in the United States at close range.
