The site of Persimmon Beach in Jixian County of Shanxi Province is located beside the Qingshui River two kilometers away from the Yellow River and belongs to the river terraces. The cultural relics are characterized by the combination of typical fine stone and stone tablet stone. The stratigraphic age belongs to the early Holocene and is reported as the Mesolithic culture. On the ground behind the site, there are Mesozoic sandy bedrock exposed to form a natural rock shelf. Under the rock shelf in the northwest, 1.2 meters above the surface of the slope, two red color rock paintings were found, which were reported as the cultural sites of the same period. It is believed that “it reflects people’s religious worship at that time, Reflecting one’s own psychology and beliefs in the form of painting art. ” If the rock painting is indeed identified as the Mesolithic Age as originally reported, then it is undoubtedly an important discovery of the early petroglyphs in our country so far in the absence of rock paintings clearly belonging to the Paleolithic. In view of this, the exploration of the rock age is necessary. Here, we put forward a little knowledge of persimmon beach rock paintings, for reference only.
