中国工程院院士、清华大学教授倪维斗曾表示,建筑能耗不仅仅是某个建筑建成后的运行能耗,建筑物的建设本身也要耗费大量的钢铁、水泥、玻璃等材料。这些建材的生产能耗也应该计算在建筑能耗之内,即应该从生命周期的角度把建房子的能耗也算在建筑能耗内。如果建筑的寿命很短,建成以后常年空置,不能发挥居住功能,生命周期的能耗就会非常高。倪维斗这一观点,为业界人士审视和开展建筑节能工作提供了更新的角度。
