【据李瑜元报道】由中华医学会消化病学、消化内镜、肝病学三个分会主办、外科学分会协办的第四届亚太地区消化病周(ADDW)会议于2004年10月4～7日在北京召开,来自亚太地区30多个国家(地区)共2,200多名代表参会,国(境)外代表800多人,这是在我国首次承办的消化领域大型国际学术会议,特邀演讲者包括本领域世界和亚太地区知名专家、我国各分会负责人和专家。国家和卫生部及中华医学会的领导人发来贺信或出席会议并作讲话。会议的组织安排与国际完全接轨,会前有培训课程,在全体会议上作了4个高水平的专题报告。会议学术内容广泛,包括各领域的进展,本地区相关的课题,既有基础研究也有临床报道,既有诊治经验也有共识报告。下面就本次会议中的几个主要专题作一介绍。

The organization of the conference is fully in line with international standards. There are training courses before the meeting and four high-level special reports were made in the plenary. The conference has a wide range of academic contents, including progress in various fields, related topics in the region, both basic research and clinical reports, as well as experience in diagnosis and treatment and consensus reports.
