2005年6月5日,以“图像演义”为主题的“虞村油画作品展”在北京今日美术馆开展。展出虞村近两年创作的40余件油画作品。虞村的这批新作采用了一种新的创作方法,即他的作品的内容不是直接来自生活,而是以现成图像作为自己创作的依据。虞村对一系列互不相关的图像进行个人化的阅读、引申、编排,演义出一个个与图像原型的趣味全然不同的画面。在今天的都市生活中,图像已经铺天盖地,成为人们获取信息的主要渠道。而虞村的画正是这个“读图时代”的直接产物,同时也昭示了这个读图时代一种可行的艺术选择。虞村在艺术表现上努力使自己回归到“原生”的艺术状态。他崇尚人类本有的那种艺术天性,那种毫无造作之气的孩童般的天然、率真、稚拙。他追求一种不要经由理性干预的轻松自由的创作状态,这是经过严格专业训练的画家很难达到的一种境界,也是他许多年来一直孜孜以求的目标,他的画让我们感到确实是退回到了一种不会画的、信手涂鸦的状态。但事实上,这是一种
On June 5, 2005, “Yu Yu Oil Painting Exhibition” with the theme of “Image Romance” was held in Today Art Museum in Beijing. Exhibition Yu village nearly 40 years of creation of two pieces of oil paintings. Yu Village’s new works adopt a new method of creation, that is, the content of his works is not directly derived from life, but based on ready-made images as their own creative basis.
