在消费主义社会到来之后,随着时尚产业化与艺术市场化,二者均成为文化产业中最有分量的组成部分,在意识形态与视觉语言上均有了更多的同质性。时尚与艺术进一步交互与融合,“跨界”成为一种常态的商业模式。波普艺术大师安迪·沃霍尔对于时尚产业的发展影响深远,他促进了时尚与艺术的交融,不仅其本人是上世纪60年代的精神标签,在上世纪末的全球一体化与信息化的浪潮中,沃霍尔演变成为一种现象,其影响力加倍凸显。沃霍尔模糊了艺术家的身份边界,其对于当代时尚的影响主要表现在对资本主义的回应及对商品社会的颂扬、打破高雅与通俗的界限与改变时尚的传播方式等方面。
