本文研究了有Na~+、NH_4~+、K~+、Mg~(2+)、Ca~(2+)、Fe~(3+)等离子存在下,以改进的茜素红S法,用氯化钡标准液直接滴定硫酸根的方法.硫酸根在24—60毫克范围内,可以准确地测定,最大相对误差不超过0.4%。本法的特点是采用混合指示刺,严格控制终点前的PH值为4和降低乙醇含量为20%的情况下,以茜素红S作指示剂,可得到明显的由黄绿到淡红色的突变终点。并通过加入氟化铵和氨化后Cl~-补偿的办法,可以消除有干扰的Na~+、K~+、Mg~(2+)、Ca~(2+)、Fe~(3+)等离子,解决了准确测定硫酸根的问题。因而本法也很适合芒硝联合制碱工艺中,有不同Na~+/NH_4~+比的情况下硫酸根的测定。
