儒学作为中华民族两千多年来优秀传统文化的主干,塑造了中华民族的民族精神。从秦朝到现代,孔子和儒学曾遭六次大规模的批判。其历史逻辑是凡政治腐败、社会动荡,凡以打天下的方法治天下,便发生反孔批儒。但几千年来为什么孔子打不倒,儒学批不臭?是因为儒学有深刻的反省、反思意识和深沉的忧患、担当意识,这是其特具的精神;有宽阔的胸怀和开放、包容的意识,这是其品德;有与时偕行、唯变所适的生命力,这是其特质;有自我协调、自我修复、自我创新的活力和功能,这是其自强不息的动能;有接地通天的能量,这是其本根。在全球化信息革命的当代,儒学面临新的挑战,即如何转生儒学,赋予儒学新观点、新思维、新生命,以适应现代社会。思想文化相协调、相融合,必须继往开来,继承创新。善于继承才能有创新,牢记历史传统才能开拓未来;从三个维度和合发展当代新儒学,和合既是中华民族传统思想文化的精华和生命智慧,亦是和平、发展、合作的时代主题和世界潮流。
