1933年3月,郑振铎与茅盾决定重办一份隶属左翼文坛的大型文学刊物,遂选定了《小说月报》。《小说月报》1910年7月在上海创刊,以发表创作和翻译小说为主,兼有文艺评论和散文。在提倡新文学和评价世界进步文学方面曾做出过重大贡献。常在《小说月报》上发表作品的有鲁迅、茅盾、叶圣陶。1930年12月,上海战事爆发后,报馆被日军炸毁,《小说月报》被迫停刊。
In March 1933, Zheng Zhenduo and Mao Dun decided to re-establish a large-scale literary magazine that belonged to the left-wing literary world and selected “Monthly Novel Novel.” “Novel Monthly” was founded in Shanghai in July 1910, focusing mainly on writing and translating novels, with both literary criticism and prose. He has made significant contributions in promoting new literature and in evaluating world advanced literature. Often published in the “Novel Monthly” are Lu Xun, Mao Dun, Ye Shengtao. In December 1930, after the outbreak of the war in Shanghai, the newspaper was blown up by the Japanese troops and the “Monthly of Fiction” was forced to stop publication.
