To investigate the changes of nitric oxide (NO), malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) and its relationship with viral myocarditis, 36 cases of myocarditis in children with the above indicators were detected. There were 19 males and 17 females, ranging in age from 3 years to 13 years, with an average of 8 years and 4 months. The diagnostic criteria were in accordance with the diagnostic criteria established by the 1994 Weihai Conference. The control group, 30 cases, 16 males and 14 females; mean age 8 years and 2 months.
