由清华大学哲学系与中国社会科学院哲学所西方哲学研究室共同举办的“启蒙与近代西方哲学:《启蒙与自由——叶秀山论康德》出版学术研讨会”于2013年11月16日在清华大学召开。来自中国社会科学院、清华大学、北京大学、中国人民大学、北京师范大学、中央党校、中央编译局等学术机构三十余名学者与会。《启蒙与自由》是叶秀山先生讨论康德的一部著作,它在以启蒙与自由这一主旨视野去讨论康德哲学的同时,也把康德哲学置于当代德国哲学与法国哲学的背景下加以阐释。所以,它在深度地呈现了康德哲学意义的同时,也呈现了那些反思启蒙的当代哲学的启蒙意义与自由精神。这部作品通过对康德哲学的阐释沟通了古典与现代。与会学者围绕着这部作品涉及或引伸的一系列问题进行了深度的讨论。何谓近代启蒙?近代启蒙究竟确立起了些什么原则?近代启蒙是否为一切社会、一切传统都必经的“关口”?近代启蒙开启的现代性世界与古典世界有何根本不同?这些都是生活于“现代性世界”里与面临“现代性世界”的人们都不得不一再追问的问题。下面是根据录音整理出来的主要发言(由于时间关系,未经发言者本人校核)。

More than 30 scholars from academic institutions such as Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Central Party School and the Central Bureau of Translation and Interpretation attended the conference. ”Enlightenment and freedom“ is a book by Mr. Ye Xiushan discussing Kant. While discussing Kant’s philosophy with the gist of enlightenment and freedom, Kant’s philosophy is also explained in the context of contemporary German philosophy and French philosophy . Therefore, while presenting Kant’s philosophical significance in depth, it also presents the enlightenment meaning and the free spirit of contemporary philosophy that reflect enlightenment. This work communicates classicality and modernity through the interpretation of Kant’s philosophy. Participants and scholars held a series of discussions around a series of issues involved in or extended by this work. What is the modern enlightenment?
