World War II is a tragic catastrophe for humanity. August 15, 1945 is the surrender date Japan announced its acceptance of the “Potsdam Proclamation.” Japanese officials never called this day a surrender day. They generally only called “the anniversary of the final battle.” They sometimes called “those who mourn and cry for peace day”. The mentality expressed here is the lack of sincerity for the introspection of history and the shirk of responsibility for the war.
