Rafters are refugees who have been ravaging at sea due to storms. They are special groups engaged in marine activities. Their historical records are scattered in a variety of historical documents. At present, scholars in the Ming and Qing Dynasties have studied more and more about the rafting events in North Korea and Japan, but have not paid much attention to the drifting people in China and the past. Tang Dynasty drifters in the “Taipingguangji” more prominent, they at least reflect the following questions: the Tang Dynasty’s understanding of the natural and human environment in the East Asian waters; between the Tang Dynasty and Silla, Japan and other countries between the traffic conditions, when Not only is the location of Dengzhou particularly prominent in the traffic between China and foreign countries, but also the important bases for communication between the states of Tang and the East China Sea, such as Qingzhou and Haizhou. Through these analyzes, we can see that the communications and exchanges between China in the Tang Dynasty and other countries in the East Asian Sea have greatly developed.
