几十年来,人们已对石墨层间化合物进行了多方面的研究,并为我们提供了几个具有学术意义的课题。但是,目前人们不仅注重对其结构、物性以及做为“东道主”的石墨和外来“宾客”嵌入物的相互作用等理论问题的探讨,更着重于挖掘利用其高电导率、化学反应活性等优良性能作为功能材料的工程应用价值。为此,炭素材料学会于1986年2月21~22日以石墨层间化合物为议题在东京召开了学术讨论会。
