文化是“创新”的基础,中国现代绘画的发展即要研究东西方艺术的精髓,还要从传统文化中悟出“道”。中国现代绘画必须吸收中国传统文化之精髓(中国艺术精神中的空灵美、意境美、气韵美等审美特征),它是中国当代油画语言的精神回归。传统文人画的荷花是“文化符号”的荷花,他们的作品不在于表现荷花的真实性,更注重用个性化的笔墨表达荷花“出淤泥而不染”的文化隐喻。在我们当代艺术中,这个“文化符号”的荷花更侧重于“视觉符号”的图像。
Culture is the foundation of “innovation ”. The development of Chinese modern painting is to study the essence of eastern and western art, but also to realize “Tao ” from the traditional culture. Chinese modern painting must absorb the quintessence of Chinese traditional culture (the aesthetic features of the ethereal beauty, the artistic beauty, the beauty of the atmosphere and so on) in the spirit of Chinese art. It is the spiritual return of the Chinese contemporary oil painting language. The traditional literati’s lotus flowers are “cultural symbols” of lotus. Their works are not about the authenticity of the lotus flowers, but also pay more attention to the cultural metaphor of expressing the lotus flowers “without muddyness” through personalized brushstrokes. In our contemporary art, the lotus of this “cultural symbol” focuses more on the image of “visual symbols.”
