In this paper, we use the new criticism of the text in-depth reading method to try to interpret literary works “Eagle (fragment)”, a poem written in the Victorian era, and find that the work infiltrates both strength and beauty from form to content. From the formal solemnity and solemnity , Elegant and solemn, free and exaggerated content to the content, enthusiasm and imagination, all reflect the high unity of rules and creativity, a high degree of unity of music and image, a high degree of unity of reason and sensibility, a high degree of classical and romantic unity, form and The content is highly uniform, highly ambiguous and highly tense. It is very much in line with the later literary and aesthetic standards of the “new poems” by the Anglo-Saxon critics, which is worthy of further discussion and research.
