The improvement of train running speed and the increase of axle load demand to improve the reliability and life of some elastic elements of locomotive running. Large compression coil springs in the bogie spring suspension system are among the most important parts. They work under particularly complicated load conditions and therefore the materials from which they are made must have long-lasting, stable elasticity, high strength and fatigue strength, high impact load strength and sufficient ductility.
