High specificity and high atTmity monoclonal antibodies (mAb) are crucial both for the discovery and validation of biomarkers for human health and disease and as clinical diagnostic and therapeutic agents.In addition to the specific binding to cancer-associated antigens,anti-cancer mAbs can modulate the signaling network to eventually block cancer-associated signaling,such as cell growth and angiogenesis.In this talk,I will introduce our current work,showing that a human antibody against TRAIL-receptor 2 exhibit distinct cell death mechanism through alternative signaling networks from those of its ligand and other mAbs.
