This study concerns seismic vulnerability assessment of existing reinforced concrete (RC) bridges with a common structural scheme in Italy (multi-span simply supported girder bridges).Most of these bridges are located in strategic road network points in Veneto region (North-Eastern part of Italy).Their seismic vulnerability is calculated by means of fragility curves,which are instruments describing the probability of a structure being damaged beyond a specific damage state for various levels of ground shaking (Nielson &DesRoches 2007,Shinozuka et al.2000,Monti &Nisticò 2002,Franchin et al.2006,Pan et al.2010).
