Objective: As esthetic demands of patients undergoing orthognathic surgery are growing, they tend to overly react to the slight asymmetry that may remain postoperatively.Precise diagnosis is important in facial asymmetry, and its treatment planning has to be done by an oral surgeon and an orthodontist in collaboration.Advances in cone-beam computed tomography technology and CAD/CAM software have permitted the adoption of 3-dimensional virtual planning protocols in orthognathic surgery.Computerized navigation surgery is a surgical modality based on synchronizing the intraoperative position of the instruments with computed tomographic imaging of the patients anatomy. The purpose of this presentation is introducing 3-dimensional virtual planning protocol and computer-aided navigation techniques in orthognathic surgery at Chung-Ang University Hospital.
