1 Introduction Shuangwang gold deposit,located at in the Devonian strata at the northwing of the anticline,is located at the Wangjialeng the sub-basin of the Late Paleozoic pull-apart basin in the Fengxian-Taibai,Shaanxi Province.In the fact,the Shuangwang gold deposit hosted in the albite-carbonate breccias with extensive Fe-Mgcarbonatization and albitization,and it is one of the most interesting gold deposits in the Qinling compound orogeny in the world.Gold mineralization and alterations in Shuangwang gold deposit were characterized by alkaline carbonate-rich magmatic hydrothermal fluids (Shi Z.L,1989).Diagenesis and mineralizing age of this gold deposit is still an enigma although it was believed to be the Carlin-type or the Carlin-like gold deposits.This article is to define diagenesis and mineralizing age of this gold deposit using zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating.
