The porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) ORFla-encoded replicase polyproteins (ppla) is predicted to be proteolytically processed into ten nonstructural proteins (nsps),known as nspl to nsp8,with both nspl and nsp7 being cleaved intemally (nsp 1 alpha/lbeta and nsp7alpha/7beta).In this study,monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies were generated against seven of these proteins (nsplalpha,nsplbeta,nsp2,nsp3,nsp4,nsp7 and nsp8).Using this panel of antibodies,we identified and characterized ORFla-encoded nsps in PRRSV infected MARC-145 cells.
