Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture together with Naokangling Capsule for the treatment of hydrocephalus and the experimental principle of the Naokangling Capsule for the treatment of hydrocephalus.Method Since the pathogenesis of hydrocephalus is recognized as "blockage of stagnant blood in channels, retention of water, and obstruction of brain", therefore, for this combination of water with stagnant blood, the treating principle is set up as "activating the blood circulation to dissolve blood stasis and remove the obstruction of brain by inducing diuresis".In the experiment, 200 hydrocephalus patients in the treatment group were treated by acupuncture together with Naokangling Capsule and 180 patients in the control group treated by western drugs for comparison.
