Up to date, small molecules that can selectively target cancer stem cells are still very rare, and basically have no common structural feature.We discovered a series of compounds that can selectively ablate AML stem/progenitor cells, and then established the first preliminary SAR against AML stem/progenitor cells.In ex-vivo experiment with NOD/SCID mice models, the survived primary AML cells after treatment with these compounds demonstrated significantly lower engraftment in mice than the equal amount of saline treated primary AML cells.
